The Queensland Premier’s Drama Award (QPDA) recognises outstanding playwrights by commissioning and presenting new work, in partnership with Queensland Theatre.
Since 2002, the QPDA has grown to become one of Australia’s most prestigious arts awards.
Alongside a cash prize, the winning playwright receives a full commission fee to develop and present their work as part of a Queensland Theatre season.
